the pits varies race to race. Garage passes can be purchased for CART,
ASA, and NHRA events. The drivers also may be accessible to the public. Most races feature some type of expo
where you'll find everything from interactive games to simulators.

Cahokia
Mounds State Historic Site
The 2,200-acre
Cahokia Mounts is one of the largest prehistoric Indian sites in North
America. Hike the trails to climb the largest platform mound, Monks
Mound, or see treasures like Woodhenge, a
reconstructed sunrise horizon calendar made of 48 large cedar posts
arranged in a 410-foot-diameter circle. Historic interpreters are eager
to answer questions about the prehistoric Cahokians,
thought to have built and lived on the mounds from A.D. 700 to 1400.
